I saw that kind of model on several brand (ONKYO,AKAI,PIONEER, etc...) looks like classic units

Re: CASSETTE DECK BLABLABLABLA
i have an old akai single track thing that is all wood with the vu meters and shit. Its absolutely dope. I'm a fan of Yamaha stuff too when it comes to tape.

Looks nice that ..
this 1 has some little mfx to reduce noise ..
record position and a pretty deecent digital meter (reason i bought it tbh)
i think it was priced between 30 to 60 english pounds .. well worth the skrilli's

Re: CASSETTE DECK BLABLABLABLA
some random sony dual-cassette deck. went hunting for a deck with a pitch knob after reading one of those xlr8r "in the studio" features with matthewdavid where he talked about tape saturation and pitching. ended up, completely by coincidence, copping exactly the same deck from a thrift shop for $10
mostly use it for pitching samples or compressing/saturating but lately i've taken to using it norwegian black metal style, bouncing back and forth between two tapes for primitive multi-tracking.

This thing looks awesome! Would be perfect for traveling. Does it run on battery?
I found a flick of my Akai deck just by searching google for old akai wooden tape deck haha. Here it is, 1973 gxc-46d, £20 paid.

@KIYANI: The Akai looks dope (SO 70's)
Yes the Sony runs on batteries, it is so over priced (400-500 until 1000$) but I got mine luckily in fresh condition for 150$ -
Sony continued to build them 20 years after they launched (they stopped in 2002 I think)

I'm gonna be looking out for that with a keen eye from now on!
