okay so i just got my 404 and i have a question.
i noticed that some guys have this effect where all sounds are muted when the kick is playing.

you mean like a mute out? I use an effect like the "voice trans" and turn down all the knobs. Or Isolator and turn down all the knobs and use "remain" to select which pads to mute. I don't know about the maschine. Which there was mute groups on the SPs though. Like when you're using the sequencer, it's a pain. If there was like 4 mute groups and you could assign pads to them that would be great.
