So first off
I was trying to arrange my banks
the drums are on bank a1
The sample is on bank d6
And extra hats and fx on bank g
Now i made a beat in pattern mode with all those
And now im trying to condense all those spread out sounds into one bank using the exchange option. Now when i play my pattern beat it cant locate those sounds and plays nothing. Am i doing something wrong or is there a work around without having to remake it all.
Second question
I have 4 memory cards, about 3-4 patterned beats on each, i would like to get them all on one card for a show, how would i go about that without losing sounds ect.

Whats up eighty9s!?
so its a 50/50 chance you figured this out, but based on my experience...
First: the SP-404xs pattern sequencer not only arranges sounds you put in, but it also knows where the sound is. So moving samples after they are recorded in a pattern is like making the pattern sequencer forget where its pulling sound from.
Going forward, keep this in mind and try preplanning and get all your samples in one bank. I know how annoying it is not being able to do anything about previous patterns
Second:
I imagine you already had your show, but if you still needs tips on this, I know I'm finding it is necessary to record patterns on/into another device (alternate sampler or multi-track recorder/tape) or DAW, then record back into the 404xs.
Its a bit time consuming (though easier with DAWs), but its about the only way to get several patterns from different cards all on to one card, or bank even. Also, this can give you another opportunity to mix and effect your patterns to one more degree of perfection
I hope this helps somehow, as it is a few months late answer to this post.
Either way, good luck.
