pizza

Post by Chopperman »

i'm looking for pizza related vocal clips for my beat tape, Beatza. If anyone can think of any good skits they've seen involving pizza, on tv, movies, standup, podcast, etc.. please let me know. preferably clips accessible online. also, if you want to record yourself or a friend saying a few words about pizza, I would probably use that too.

lets put the pizza in pizzazz!

There's plenty of Dominos and Papa John commercials you could snatch a sample from.

true, most commercials have music in the background though. I'm looking for vox to play over beats. I already youtubed "pizza comedy" and found a few good ones like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-KpiclMuPA

plus, most commercials are annoying imo. just watched a couple that were trying to be funny and failing miserably. thanks for the suggestion though

That's kind of a cool way to adopt it though.
Corny messages layed over dope music.

I like what Kris White said though.
You could be taking phone calls and making beats to order.

Order a pizza and record the guy when he gives you the total or the phone call. Kinda creepy for the guy though haha

I found this which is a good one, I was so happy at the time. Good old childhood movies providing the samples :)

Start it at 35 seconds in

Jerky Boyz did a ton of hilarious crank calls and many were pizza delivery related. Prob a gold mine for you. Funny as hell. They also coincidentally did many skits using a sampler or sampling keyboard where they would crank call people and by using only the samples of say Arnold Shartznegger would interact with the person they crank called. Love them endlessly. :)

There is a very busy pizza joint here in Venice I will try to go by there today and get some material for you.

some good ideas here :D
thanks!
i've found some good stuff and already have almost 10 minutes of the tape finished. i'm thinking it should be 30 to 45 minutes  I plan to have it fully cooked and ready to deliver in a week or two. of course, the cd case will look like a pizza box, the cd representing the pie. can't wait to give it to my coworkers.
please keep the ideas coming if you got 'em!
