Noob question about wii

i ve got a wii (not wii U) for my kids, do some gamecube games are compatible with the wii? i've heard that sometimes...

the regular wii with disc slot can play gamecube games!

there is also a wii mini though (toploader in red+black) - that one can't, neither does the wiiu..

i've made a fst research on the net, if the wii model have the RVL code on the back so gamecube games are ok with it, if wii model have RVK code it doesn't work...

How do I find out whether I have the RVK or RVL?
