storing beats on the computer / copy all sounds+patterns?

Post by wax inspektor »

I read somewhere how to get the all entire-shit on the CF but I forget where?!

I want to save the whole project on HD... Do I have to export every pattern/sample or is it enough to copy the Roland - folder? Whats up with BankA+B? Wanna mix my battle-track to clear the machine, so please help me...

I save all my beats this way. Simply create a backup of banks a+b and then remove the CF card (with the power off or course) and put it into a card reader and just drag the "ROLAND" folder to your computer and change the name of the folder to whatever u need it to be. Then, when u want to load that project back on your 404 just drag it back into the CF drive and change the name back to "ROLAND" and then stick it in your 404. Load the backup you made of bank A+B and thats it.

... do I have to export the samples of bank A/B or are they saved while I back up the patterns?

you dont to do an export for each of the samples. Just create a backup. I think cancel+a = backup...or is that load... I dunno check the manual :)
