sp-808 won't sample?

I just received my sp-808 in the mail.

There were about four working audio samples in the first two banks.

The rest of it was blank samples with no sound.

When I tried to sample something the sp said that the disc was full even though there was hardly any audio on it. I re-formatted the disc.

Now it will sample but there is no audible audio when I play the samples back?

I figured it out. The line in and aux inputs aren't working. If I use the mic in quarter inch jack everything works fine.

both ins dont work, that sucks ass man. I mic in is ok but it always adds a crusty boost to everything. Well if it works for you then rock on. thats some bullshit about the audio ins. might just be some simple fix.
