Resampling Problem

Post by PhilG »

I recorded a kick drum the other day to pad 2. I applied an effect to it and resampled it to pad 6. when i went back to play pad 6, it sounded different. I can tell that the marks and FX were applied, but it still sounded a bit off from what i originally wanted. I could play pad 2 with the effect and pad 6 alone, and it is obviously different. what causes this?

did you resample in lofi mode, or resample mono, did the red light go on while resampling?

it was not in lo-fi, it was in stereo and the peak red light was flickering on quite a bit. it does sound like a distortion. i tried to do it again today with a different sample, and it comes out distorted again. how do i avoid the distortion?

hit the resample button and turn control 3 down while repeatedly hitting your pad untill you dont see the peak light flickering anymore- then you are ready to resample. or you can turn the sample lower with start/end/level button
