Frozen on rec mode

My most recent acquisition came from ebay; no card, no power supply so i put some batteries in it and fired it up. It had some weird (mostly vocal mic recorded) samples in the internal memory so i deleted them and tried to sample. It trigger pad selection and when i hit (any internal bank pad) it freezes when arming the pad.
That is the main problem. Atm I can not remember what happened when i just tried to run line thru and record in my other sp. but i think the line in pad would also freeze up the machine; ill get back and update that part because playing line thru would be jut as crucial to having samples in my mix, esp if that aspect is broke on my unit .
Otherwise its a nice over-priced paper weight and conversation starter.

You realize if the seller on eBay didn't say what was wrong with the item. You can file a claim/complaint and if you and the seller can't come to an agreement..eBay reimburses you.

Did you replace batteries? It sounds like what my 202 would do when the batteries were getting low.
