does anyone know how to repair and recover a smart media card? it will help me a great deal. i was making a quick microwave and it started making this terrible noise i thought it might of just hiccuped but its still there on all my samples c-d.

Personally i don't know, maybe try to take some info beteween photography forums, i know some photographer still use the SM cards, who knows...

i reformatted that seemed to work for now but i lost all my samples major bummer

Retry then with some "occasional" samples to see what happens...if the story it repeats, then i'm afraid that the card got troubles...

BECAUSE OF THE LARGE CONTACT SURFACE AREA ON SM CARDS, THEY ARE PRONE TO BECOMING FAULTY AND LOSING DATA. I WOULD SAY THAT IF IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN ITS MORE LIKELY A PROBLEM WITH THE CARD AS OPPOSED TO THE 202.
