Has Anyone Recorded the SP-202 into Ableton?

I'm doing my best to get my loop from the SP-202 into Ableton. I have an m-track audio midi interface that is connected into my USB and I have the SP hooked into the m-track. I'm struggling now to be able to record the loop into Ableton. I was told somewhere that I'd need to use an Audio and a Midi track? I'm also having trouble with midi preferences and channel settings. Any help at all is appreciated!

all you need is an audio track.

once you record your sample into ableton live, you can crop and reloop your sample.

I usually tap-tempo the bpm of the loop in ableton live and then use the warp function to stretch it into the right amount of bars that fit the sample.

Sweet! Would you mind mentioning the channel settings and midi preferences needed to record into the audio track?

Kinda goes something along like this:

1. Create a new audio track

2. Down in the small window, there's going to be something for you to click in the audio track you just created. There should be a option for you to use any incoming audio (The sp-202 connected to your audio interface). As long as the audio interface can listen to what the 202 has, it should copy it into your audio track.

3. If you want Ableton Live to trigger the 202 with it's midi in, then you'd also create a midi track, select the right midi channel, and it should sync to the 202. I'm not sure if you can pitch samples into a keyboard like scale, but worse case scenario, you'll point out what pads you want to be triggered in the track screen. (Say in a 4 bar loop, you want pad 2, pad 2, pad 4, pad 3, pad 2 (as drum hits for s$its n gigles) ).
