Bassline?

Post by sensix »

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to do a decent bassline on my SP? (just like using a lowpass filter in a daw, hardware or whatever)

I mean, which effects to use and how to do it? I'm at a level where i consider myself decent at sampling and programming drums but those damn basslines are troublin' me...

Hit me back please

I use the subsonic for most of my basslines. Make a pure bass tone with it by turning the balance 90%-all the way up and adjust the pitch to your liking. Resample the sound two times and play it at different pitches and you can make a bassline pretty easily. The best way to get a pure bass sound is by using it over a kick

Use the synth in combo with the subsonic, to get more variety of tone. You can resample the synth with itself to get multi-oscillator-style detuning as well. Overdrive is excellent for bass as well :D
