Just got the 404 SX so bear with me guys...
I've read through the manual and from what I can tell there is no way to sample a pattern. And I guess I can't sample me playing the pads either. So if I want to apply effects to a pattern I've made what's the best way to do it? Do I have to do it in real time? Thanks
So the 404 can't sample patterns, so...

Re: So the 404 can't sample patterns, so...
Lots of cats here have a tape recorder or another sampler then bounce.
I thought at one point you could MIDI trigger the pads with external sequencer and resample, but nope!
I got me a nice little walkman with line input and record I used to bounce. I put the output of the walkman into the input of the 404 and play it back to sample it again.
Like I said, this thing ain't no crazy computer...but you'll find your way.
