It's easy. I have it set up this way. Use the function/ midi ch. button on your 404 to find out which channel it's receiving. Then set up beat maker in the midi options to send the same channel and you should be good. You using an io dock or just the camera connection kit with a midi interface. With beatmaker it's pretty seamless sync. Press play and your good. Only thing, if you program notes in bm, you make hit a note that corresponds to a 404 pad and it will trigger it. I stopped that but I forgot how.

Ok, ill take a look tonight. Had something to do with (paused and went into room)
Ok. I really cant remember how i did it but i know i did it. I think it has to do with the midi sync and the midi channel of the 404. If you change the input on the 404 to recieve something different than what the BM2 is sending out? I think that its always sends midi sync no matter which channel its set to. You changing the channel is so that your notes in BM2 dont trigger the 404.
So if bm 2 is set to send on midi channel 1, just set your 404 to channel 2, and i think the midi clock sync should still work.
Than at least you also know that you can control the 404 from your BM2 if you ever wanted to.

Have fun
