so i know i asked if the kp3 could make some resampling beats and i have been checking the kp3 out here and there, so i finally took the bait and got one. i love it too. i just posted these videos, they are just simple beats but i am looking forward to seeing what i can do with the kp3.

Damn that's a nice technique... Again, thanks for the share. You gonna post full tracks made like this?

Check this clip by An Owl (where are ya bro?). It's a little demo of resampling & layering across multiple pads. Hope that spurs your imagination!

not bad man,

I'm saving up to get 2 so that I can chain them and resample the loops with fx but to separate slots, or merge loops into a single loop, etc.

(eg loopA on kp3 #1 to loop B on kp3 #2, or loop A+B on #1 to loop D on #2)
Samples.

When you tap the Tap Tempo and you have samples in the banks, the kp3 will either speed up the sample or slow it down according to the tempo you set. that way all pads can be the same length (as long as they are loops and not one shots).

example:
record a drum break at 93 bpm any given length (4,8,or 16 beats)

find a sample you like, tap the tempo to it. say it was 85 bpm. just tapping the tempo button will adjust the first sample drum break to 85bpm. record your sample and all samples are the tempo of the last tempo you set.

kp3 is pretty cool.
