Bad 303 pads

Post by Euclid Ov Oåklånd »

So my 303 has a few dead/non responsive sample pads and these happen to be the pads I do my drum beats on, so I have a feeling it's due to a bad or abused connection internally. I opened it up and I found a ribbon cable that wraps around the main circuit board that appeared cracked, I fiddled with it and got paranoid and put the sampler back together. When I turned it back on I found some pads repaired, but not all. I'm hoping I can just replace that suspect cable with a part order from Roland and some handy work but I'm not certain. Has anyone here fixed this issue, or have any insight into a solution?
Thanks

They no longer sell the 303 pads, fuck roland. So now all I can do is have them fix it for some stupid amount.

Yo CULP, do you still have the part number for the pads maybe in an email. I'm not sure the woman that answered my call knew what I was looking for.
