Does anyone adjust their Input/Output gain to a lower or higher db, for a signature sound or a production trick?
Also,.. if anyone has/ or knows where I can find a faceplate for a og 404, It'd be much appreciated... stalk/or special edition will work.
Thanks

Re: Input/Output Gain
I sample through the mic jack on my 303 and use the trim knob to get the signal level to just before it clips/peaks. Nothing special
I would guess that roland will sell faceplates for the 404 and 404sx, try contacting customer support and check the pricing.

Re: Input/Output Gain
using the line in the back will let you sample stereo, you need to adjust the input externally or with the internal recording level but thats kind of a pain.
for output, anywhere that sounds good is good.
