303 to 404 loss of audio quality

Post by spacetrip »

yo i got a 303 + 404, and sending my beat from the 303 to the 404 i lose lots of audio quality.

i sent the beat to the 404 with rca cables and it's so distorted. when i lower the volume on the 303 as its recording on the 404 it sounds better, but it's still losing quality.

the only reason i send my finished beat to the 404 is cus i have a card reader for it. i don't have a smartmedia reader...maybe that would fix my problem?

Sounds like bad cables/bad card maybe?

idk man i bounce shit back and forth between the two all the time and while each kind of interprets the sound differently it always sounds good and there is no loss of quality. sounds like youre just bringing it in way too hot into the 404. whats the status of the peak light when youre bringing it in?

ok i guess my solution is to lower the 303 as i'm recording into the 404. weird how ones louder than the other. but it works. also just bought a card reader that reads compact flash and smart media cards. so i should be good!
