Sp 303 + Sound Module + Cd Player

Post by Champloo »

the Sp 303 obviously only has 1 set of inputs. I have a sound module that I would like to record into the 303 and apply all types of effects and also I have a CD player that I would like to sample from into my 303.

without having to unplug and plug cables all day (which kills time and creativity and puts wear n' tear on the sockets, etc.),,, is there something i could use to plug the sound module and cd player into at the same time and then have them both output through my speakers so i can monitor before record and then sample into the 303?

is this what patchbays are for.... or would i just need some time of mixer with multiple channels and an extra set of outputs?

You could buy a cheap mixer then plug CD player n modual in with outputs to the 303 or buy a cheap av selector with outputs leading into 303 then just select what to sample by flicking a switch. I would go more in depth but its 2:21am here in oz. ps the world didn't end!

You could also buy a cheap y adapter that accepts two inputs (at Radio Shack). There's ones that have two 1/8" female inputs, for example (you, know...so you and your girl can listen to Michael Buble together). I've used one live through the mic jack that had a monotron and a kaossilator going into it. You can do the same thing into the RCA input (if you like stereo).
