Sample length set to measure

Post by Arpsolus »

Hello. I am a new SP-505 owner. I have a question that hopefully someone can answer. Is there an easy way to create a sample and then edit that sample to be 1 measure (or 2 or 3...) for a specific BPM?

look at wave edit>prhase/single parameter: here you can find something to mess with; look at bpm sync too

Trim a sample to your liking then check its BPM. Play it and count its measure in your head. Then just adjust the pattern to match the BPM of the sample.

Always check the BPM of a sample in Edit, it helps a lot when making patterns. When you want a sample to be free from the pattern's BPM, then set the sample to Single.

I wasn't very clear. I want to use preset BPMs and then sample to those BPMs. I want to either record the samples in full measures or edit them to exact measures. I wish the "loop" edit feature had musical timing (measure) marks. I guess I could use math, because it does show samples. But thats a long hard process for dummies like me.

maybe is there a way to preselect the sample length?
