First post - waiting for my SP-606 to arrive

Post by EclecticMusician »

Hello everybody!

This is my first post. I have ordered a SP-606 and I´m now waiting to get my hands on it.

I have looked at both the MPC (500, 1000 and 2500) and the SP-line (404, 555 and 606), and I finally came to the conclusion that SP-line seems a bit easier to work with. So i ordered a SP-606.

I have worked (still work) with Reason on PC before, made some simple songs I now want to tweak, but I never saw Reason as an instrument. Reason is good to work with, but not really what I want. I will still work with it, make riffs, loops and save it as Wav-files.

Thank you posting on the forum, it is really nice reading.

Welcome to the forums guys.

I'm the opposite to you guys - I've had the 606 since it came out but just got Reason (with Recycle!) for christmas!!

Reason is very easy to use, indeed, but belleeeeve me the 606 makes reason a LOT better.

You can record live sh*t from your 606, put it through recycle, mash it in Reason!! Lotsa fun 8)

Then back to the 606 for more mangling

Back to reason

so on

The sampler is very small, smaller than my old Yamaha SU700.

There is so many new things to learn. The P606 I really do not understand. though.
