effecting incoming audio (line inputs) in realtime w/o rec.

i asked this in another thread, but it was kinda off topic, so thought it would be good to have its own thread.

i know you can use the sp as an effects box for something like say a DAW, then just print the effect,a reverb for example to an audio track in your daw.

but i was wondering if you could do something similar to this in with the djfx looper.

say i have an 8 bar loop constructed in the mpc, i was wondering if i could go from the outputs of the mpc to the inputs of the sp (404 or 555) and effect the incoming audio in realtime wihtout recording it to the sp.

i could use this for practicing my 8 bar effected stuff, then when i was comfortable with what i was playing, i could click record into the sp, and then save the effected 8 bars to a pad.

now i could play that 8 bars out and record it into my mpc and sequence it in there.

would something like this work? do you guys do this kinda stuff when your working with an mpc and an sp at the same time?

i pretty much just want an sp for the reverb and the djfx looper. it would be awesome if there was mute groups, but sadly no dice, i thought this workaround might work pretty well though, i dont want to drop 2-400 on one of them and not have it work though.

Just noticed that you had this question too.

Yeah, the sp can effect the incoming signal, without recording.

Once I have my finished beat, I pass all the tracks through the 404 to use the fx in realtime, like the DJFX, Isolater, Wah-wah, etc
