SP-404 drums on compact flash

Hello Everyone,

Im new to the sp-404, just bought a 1gb compact flash card but i dont know where to put the drums(.wav) in the directory, can anyone tell me?

Just dump them in the main root folder (You should also see a Roland Folder this is where all your backups go, one level down from the root). You can load them up from there. Also when you export sounds they show up in the top root folder.

Did that, is all i have to do copy the samples to the compact flash cards? Or is there something like loading those samples in? I dumped about 12 wav samples on the cf card but they dont show up in one of my card banks..

Now you have to load them into the SP. Press Cancel + resample at the same time to get into the import mode. Select a root pad then press record and it will load each one from there in order. This is all in the manual, give it a read its really good and will probably answer 95% of your questions.
