can't turn gate mode of the sample

Post by LWK »

Hey guys,

I was trying to get gate mode of my drum samples that I have loaded onto my sd card but I can't seem to get them off the Gate mode. I would like to trigger my drums with "one shot" modus.

Can you not just turn it off by pressing the "gate" pad until it's unlit?

No I can't I have tried. But if it helps to keep holding the Gate button I will have to try that. But I did try to press it several times when playing the pad where the drum is located. Or can it be that it is not a stereo sample?

shouldn't matter if it's stereo or not. If you press the pad first that you want to turn off gate, then press the gate button once. The gate button will be lit if the sample is gated, unlit when in one-shot mode

the sp's protect function is probably set to on. this will not allow you to change a sample from gate mode to one shot amongst other things like setting start and end points of a sample or changing it to lo-fi. it also wont let you delete samples which can be a good thing sometimes.

hold the cancel button while turning on your sp to turn the protect function off of all sample banks and patterns. or for an individual bank of samples, with your sp already turned on of course, choose the bank, hold the function button and then press cancel, then record.

use the remain button (instead of the cancel button) with the same steps to turn the protect function back on.
