Am I going crazy?

Ok so i'm on my 2nd 303 and I'm not sure if this one works the same way I remember the first one working, very small changes.

One major one being is with the new 303 I can't go into start/end/level until AFTER the whole sample has been played. On the old one I remembered being able to just record sample, play it for the first time and go right into start/end/level. Bit annoying if you have a long sample ready to chop.

Another thing is it looks like I now have to set both ends of my marks instead of just the first one. Doesn't seem to like when I set one marker then stop the sample and try to replay it.

Not sure if this is a firmware difference that I'm not aware of, I'm pretty sure I have the newest version my the current 303. Any insight from you 303 ninjas would be nice, want to start using this box more.

Think I should try formatting on the PC/Mac instead of inside the 303? I swear something is up I just can't figure out what. Gonna try to redo firmware and reformat and see if anything changes.. Problem is it still does it on banks A/B so might not be the card..
