sp 303 pitch changing wont work

whenever i try to change the pitch or speed of a sample it doesnt sound right. sounds like 2 transformers going at it. anyone know how to fix this? or is there something wrong with my 303?

That may be how its supposed to sound when you pitch too much. Not an MPC, which has good pitch. I was suprised when i first heard it 2. Like to old commodore computers fucking. Well, thats if the sample your playing is normal human fucking sound effects.

the pitch is kind of wacky, but if you turn the mix all of the way up, the feedback all of the way down, and keep the pitch (change) between about 10-2, you can usually get a pretty alright sound. that's my experience with it though. i kind of like the mangling sound too.
