Number of samples 404sx can load per pattern

Hi guys, can anyone tell me how many samples the 404 can load per pattern please? I know it has 12 note poly, but can you load in more than 12 samples per pattern at any one time, so that you can access more than 12 to play at different points within a pattern?

don't know about the sx but the og is 10 banks (10 x 12 = 120 samples possible)

Yeah I know how samples it can hold per bank etc, it's a decent number the machine can hold at any one time.

But do you have access to all of those samples (obviously with the 12 note poly limit) to use within one pattern, or is there a limit it per pattern/song that you can only use a certain number, like 1 bank or something?

For example could I have one bank just for an octave of a pitch instrument to use (one note at a time?) and then have another bank for my drums, etc, etc,?

yes; you can put samples from different banks into your pattern...
drums on D... bass on B... ill samples on I...

Just a word of note, the 12 note polyphony is for mono samples, so it would be 6 note polyphony using all stereo samples!

But yeah, you can use all the samples available to you in the pattern sequencer
