at the end of your bar on the sequencer hit cancel to stop the sequencer then if you want trigger a sample to fill it in, then quickly retrigger the sequencer to continue the groove, cool little hiphop trick. another cool trick, is if you have a 4 bar loop sample, make 2, 2 bar patterns and then switch to the second and even make a 3rd pattern for fills or rolls and stuff.
