404SX - Remembering Effects Applied to Pads?

Hello,

I used to have an SP-202, and one of the good features was that it remembered what effects were applied to a pad. So, if I applied a ring modulator to a pad, turned the machine off, it would still have it applied to that pad when I turned it on again.

In my situation with the 404SX, I want all pads to always have the delay applied to is at all times. But it seems to clear the effect every time I turn the machine off. Is there a way to make it remember?

Also, is it true that I cannot have one effect on one pad and a different effect on another (and have it remember as I press each pad back and forth)? Or do I have to resample in order to do that?

don't think it recalls effects settings when turned off.

1 effect at a time , gotta resample
