404 volume knob fix

hey guys. so recently i've encountered the dreaded volume knob problem where i no longer get sound from both channels along with it not adjusting the volume properly. anyways, i've opened up the machine and really not sure what to look for or where to go from here. i've heard that in most cases you have to resolder the metal legs to it but to me the soldering looks fine. what would it look like if broken? any suggestions or knowledge on this fix is much appreciated. thanks!
