Center Canceller for Panning.

Hey sp fellas!

this forum rocks big time, im from greece, you're a valuable help.

so, straight to the point

2 minutes ago i was messing with the fx on the 404 and i was feeding it with my pss7 yamaha. i am always a sucker for the djfx, i can always make the clicks become bells and i become four tet in no time (hehe) but thats not the point.

i used the center canceller by accident, and playing with the l-r knob when the lo and hi were in the middle, my samples travelled around the stereo field and i almost wet my pants. :shock:

hmmm, probably someone else must have also noticed it but anyway i wanted to share it so excuse me anyway. :oops:

Yeah, on old songs the instruments were pushed to the sides of the mix to make room for the vocals in the center, so the c.canceler masks the vocal track and lets you isolate the instruments a little better sometimes.

yeah, but the funny thing is i didnt use it on vocal samples! thats why iwas so surprised!
