SP-404 Original Package

Post by lobuz »

Hi.

This question may seems to be a little strange but is there any way to recognize if my SP-404 is originally packed and has never been taken out before?

Peace.

for the sp 404 itself I guesse you can check if both banks A and B still have all the stock sounds and nothing else. I cant remember if there was one of those thin plastic layers over the display or not.

as for the box I took a quick look and noticed a piece of scotch tape on that locking piece on the front that keeps it closed. I cant remember if it was packed with poly foam or not- many times that poly foam is wrapped around the product and held closed with scotch tape

mine had a full bank a but nothin on bank b, but i've read that mine was a different version cuz some only had bank a sounds. oh there were a few patterns as well but that stuff is long gone.

if you got it for low then you likely got a return item, shouldn't be a big deal but i would try everything a few times just to make sure. do you have a reciept cuz i think you get a 1 yr warranty from roland with that!

all pads should have sounds on bank A and 2 pads should have sounds on bank B. All the pads should have patterns on bank A and there should be no patterns on bank B.

That's how it's supposed to be.
