this is my second sp-505 and it's newer. Just turned it on to find it immediately goes to a screen that says: Memory Damaged. Initialize? and only gives the option of "OK". I am sure the memory card is ok, which is the most important but....... if I initialize................. will I lose all my sequences? Has this happened to anyone before? am I doomed? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the memory card is in properly. I once put my SM card in backwards (yes, the 505 let's u put it in wrong) and I got this same message. Also the 505 doesn't like when you put in or take out the card while the machine is powered on.
