This is it! - "Vendas Newly Won Dream"

Post by J.Daniels »

Never flipped track so hard n my life. Made on the 404 again. Im reusing the song title, because i believe it fits this song better. The myspace compression really took it out on this song, but you can still hear the gist of it. Im personally pretty proud of this one.

Absolutely awesome. Sounds like a lot of work went into it. I also like that it's short and sweet. Really good work.

nah, i hired an orchestra, 70's reggae band, dave brubecks quartet and jean michael jarre to just lay something down for 10 bucks a pop. :P

Thats an old pic, and there was a pt-01 with records to the side of it. heres an updated pic:

how about that moog? is it worth the money? how much do you use it for your beats?
I see you've added the midi controller what software are you running?

I've been thinking about buying a 303 as well... you say that you mainly use the 404, is there any reason you choose this over the 303?

Yeah that moog is the opus 3 which is the cheapest one, but its incredible. Songs like that 'Nagoya Train station' and 'confused birds' are all the moog and 303 for drums. For 300 bucks you get full polyphonic moog with the classic moog filter in addition to string ensemble sounds. Although its pretty limited in terms of modulation.

The midi controller was initially controlling reason, but i dont really use that app anymore. But now i use it with the 404. The reason i was using the 303 was because of the pads, but i found the processing time of it too slow and the unit isnt as solid. but if i didnt have the controller, i would probably use the 303.[/i]

Not really, although im well versed in harmonies and how notes relate because i play guitar well enough so whenever i do a keys part, i think whatever i would play on guitar and then just play that on the moog.
