MIDI and the SP-202

Post by boombapp28 »

To this day, I've never used the SP-202 in a MIDI environment. Has anyone ever sequenced the 202 with an external sequencer with success? Any draw backs? Thanks in advance for the assistance!

never tried the 202 (in these days i'm pondering if i might take one), but recently i've used the 303 with the mpc2000 connected via midi with no problem (except having to reset midi factory settings that were been changed by the previous user)
sorry for my poor english

years ago i used cubase to sequence the 202. i think i tried the dr-202 too. as far as i can remember it worked like you thought it would. i triggered the 202 with a keyboard connected to cubase (computer) via midi.

I controlled it with midi and had no problems with it.
Too bad you can't send CCs for the effect knob.
