help with repeat triggering

Hey all i'm having some issues with the 404 sx and fast pad triggering. I was able to set one of my samples to trigger every time i pressed the pad " really fast". for some reason when i try to edit my other samples and i press the start button right before you turn the nob to change the speed. The mark button gets lit and it does not let me edit the time of the start of the sample. there is still the delay when i press the button from the start of the sample. Can some one please instuct me how to fix this. I want to be able to press a pad, I.E sample pad one and i want the sample to begin imidiately then if i press the sample again i want it to restart and if i press it numerous times i want it to have the kind of " stutter" effect if that makes sense. Please help.

Just turn on the GATE button for the sample. It will retrigger every time you touch it, and it won't play all the way through when you let go.

you can try setting it to drum or default non gate and use the sub pad for action trigger, or you can set the sample to loop with gate on and it will auto trigger, just set the end point untill it matchhes your tempo.
