How to DESELECT an effect on certain pads...

So on the 404, you can effect one pad, a group of pads you choose, or all pad by holding REMAIN. You can also select ALL pads and then DESELECT 1 or 2, or more...by holding remain and pressing a lit up pad so it goes out..

on the 404sx, when i SELECT ALL PADS, and then attempt to, for example, take reverb off of the bass sound but keep it on the vocal sample...it wont let me...

nah its the same on the OG 404, if you do the select all you can't take one pad off, pretty annoying, you gotta select everything yourself, usually i keep a few dummy pads that aren't included in my current pad smashin selection lit up so that i don't lose my effect all together too
