sp-555 resample malfunction

hey sp-555 owners,

i got mine brand new, about 3 or 4 months ago and love it to bits. however, the "resample" function has not been working properly recently. every time i try to resample a sound from a different pad, the source sample skips and doesn't play out properly. it used to work, but this has just happened recently. have any of you users had this happen? any clue what caused this and more importantly, how can i fix it?
i can't find any info on this forum or any other roland forums, maybe it's just mine?

could be to do with the card... try backup or reformat or another card if possible

it was the card i think. i tried other cards and the internal a/b banks and they were okay. thanks for the suggestion, what a relief! and here i thought the worst!
