LINE IN QUESTION

Hi, I recently got an SP404 and I have a question about the way I'm trying to produce.

I want to play my the beef of my beats from patterns I made on the SP, while also jamming out on Ableton live synths at the same time by using the line-in .

I read somewhere that the Line-in part of the SP404 is only for sampling, but I was wondering if I could just plug in my computer or guitar through the line-in and jam out live over my loops? If I can't do this, would I be able to do it through the mic input??

Yes you can, just keep the external source pad lit and you'll be able to monitor everything going into the the RCAs. No need to use the mic input as your sound card's output will be line level
