SP 505 pattern select

Post by larbgai »

Hi there. Bought a 505. Love it. Problem is. Everywhere on the Internet and even in my Manual it says theres a Pattern Select feature to select Patterns with Pads. Cant find it ?!?!? Any help.

Thanks a lot

From what I remember, you can only select patterns 1 thru 16 via pads. Just open the pattern list play a pattern and hit a pad. But you won't be able to switch patterns on the fly. You'll have to wait until the pattern is finished before it can play the next pattern.

Yo Fauna! Is my memory correct?

yup yup. that's correct. under the screen you hit F2 (User), that pulls up yr patterns. hit a pad and it pulls up the related pattern. there might be a way to get it to recognize patterns above number 16, but i donno how to do it.

Thankyou so much. It works good enough to chain patterns and make a nice performance. After one week i have to say that the Sp 505 is my favourite peace of gear ever. I like it more than machinedrum uw, Mpc everything. I will probably buy another one. I could let one run on 8 bars with pads and stuff and the other 2 bars with Drums etc. Cool 8 tracks to mute than. All best.

Nah, there is no way. I went thru that machine like a hand down a girl's skirt (with permission  ) Boss had this on lock. I bet if they made another OS you can erase the presets and play all patterns by using the pad bank button.

Oddly, I can compare the SP-505 to Super Mario 3, there's so much secrets to skip steps.
