I need something like a sine wave or so.
Something that works on all the tracks of my mpc. You can hear
J Dilla or Kev B. use those simple sounds for basslines all the time.
Still: The sine wave that comes with the MPC is way to low. Normal in ear phones don't even play that sound, but I can always hear dillas base sound in his work for dilla loves japan and all the other joints!
Thanks for any help/knowledge on the subject.
Does anybody here have a good bass sound?

bass can be tricky. especially if its low and you want it to be heared on small speakers. I suggest digging something else or getting an ill sounding keyboard or give up on the little guys and just let the bass rock on the big speakers. also i have a few sp tricks if your interested.
oh yeah. Something Ive been wanting to try is recording bass thru the sp mic. I remember back in the day when i was forced to record shit thru low quality mics and the bass had a lot of presence on small speakers. of course if may have to be fixed up with eq/filter

here is a small example:

I just love the bass on that track. Sounds really simple but still works very well. The same sound is used in A LOT of his tracks. Any idea?
