Question, do the beats have to be instrumental soundscapes, or can they have vocals? I'll have somthing 2 ya soon, Peace, Duss.

I'm actually down for tracks with MCs or vocals, it's up to you really. I might have my track with an MC since I know so many, or I might just grow a pair a rap over my own track since I have some lyrics written.

here's my contribution:

the drums i recorded live from start to finish to give it a snappier, more dynamic feel. this was written with an MC in mind, so it sounds a little empty without any vocals

There you have it. The submissions are "every red light" and "Blowing Smoke" I dont know how I feel about the bass I used on blowing smoke... you tell me :)

very basic boom bap style -let me know what you think

I noticed the sound quality got killed a little, especially on the snare. any tips on saving sound quality?

When compressing to .mp3 or anything else you can't really save audio quality, I think the best thing I can think of is place your kick hi and snare on frequencies that stand out more even if the overall sound fidelity is reduced if that makes any since. You can also do a google search for what variable and constant bit rates do when you apply them to .mp3's which you can do in audacity. Thanks for the beat

yo DR. Sp, could you make a list in the first post of the people who already sent a track? So we know how far we are!
