CTI, Kudu, Blue Note, Verve... I look out for producers more often. Mizell bros., Bob James, David Axelrod (good luck).

I love CTI. Not even just for dope samples (which there is a plenty of), but to just chill and listen to. The warmth and vibe on most of their records is pure ear candy.

Word. Creed Taylor is a madman. Just picked up Stanley Turrentine's Don't Mess with Mister T on CTI for a buck. Idris Muhammad kills it on the drums!

yall ever heard of groove merchant? ill ass 70s label, had lots of weldon irvine type cats on that shit. must peep!
I was gonna suggest groove merchant but u beat me to it. very ill label, jimmy mcgriff, o'donel levy etc etc stuff. Mind u , u can't go wrong with a label called groove merchant.
