606 Timestretch question

Post by selfish »

Does the timestretch on the 606 sound similar the the 404 and 303? you know that shitty wobbly sound when you stretch it more then 4-5 BPMS?

That wobbly sound on the 404/303 occurs even when you stretch it +1 bpm...

you mean special like you wouldn't want your friends to see you hangin at the fair with it but your mom made you go with it anyway kind a special, right?

for roland the only thing i know that has quality timestretch is VP(variphrase) tech added gear i.e. vp9000. on a side note the 505 is the best i've heard but if your using the 606 why wouldn't you just use a program to stretch it, even audacity would sound better than the specials.

All right. I guess SHITTY was a bad choice of words. i LIKE the timestretch on the 404/303 and would like to know if the 606 does the same. i WANT the timestretch of the 606 to work like the 404/303. Im thinking of gettin rid of my 404 and getting a 606, but am curious to know if i will get similar results for the timestretch function. THAT SHOULD CLEAR UP THE QUESTION. :D  8)

hey, i answered your question i think. anyway, shitty is about right. i hate that timestretch on the 404 but my 505 was a little better, so i'm bias. and i know that some people use the 606 as a standalone(and no i've never used one) but i thought the whole reason for using a 606 was to incorporate the pc in which you could use a program to produce better results.

and the reason that the 505 is good is that they used some of the vp 9000 technology in it.
