an excerpt from an old track recorded in 1999 in Rome (italy) into a yamaha mt120 analog recorder (cassettes, yes, cassettes, they exist! ); i tried to remaster that today, and that was a bit diffucult cause A)it was me vs my past B)the track was alsmot totally "mixed" onto the 4 track recorder (the ping pong method anyone?); so basically i had to act like on when you use multiband compressor or something...

other equipment used for the original recording:
-akai remix 16 sampler
-bass guitar
-a kazoo
-some boss pedal multi fx for guitar
-a crap gemini trunatable
...and no sequencing.

yes those vocals are crazy, if i remember well i created those "buddas chant" sampling my voice and pitching that on the remix16. for the bass: i left it in rome, it's still in my brother house, one of this days i have to pick it up. the warmt is also done by the remastering/enanching/compressing etc on software (ableton live+free vst)

after some posts on this forum about recording on tape or multitrack i retourning back to my old cassettes just to see if there are tracks worth to be remastered; normally at the time i were more or less an indie nerd or a wild folk rocker but sometimes there were tracks like this that sorted out...it was the trip hop/dj shadow/mo wax period also...
i'll see to find something to remaster, i like that

i'm trying to look back at my personal cassettes catalog from end 90s beginning 00s, thei'r too much and not everything is nice, but maybe there are other tracks to rediscover (or to sample eheheh).

you know, it's talking with people like you or computers (akademik) that time to time i rediscover the analog multitrak recorder.
