this is a fragment from Joe Henderson's "Multiple" (1973), track 2 "bwaata". the original track is about 10 minutes, this excerpt is just about 50 seconds because is in .wav format from my cd (i wanted high quality but was hard to upload) but it's also an excuse to a sort of challenge (something like "less is more" thing etc), so no more than 8 seconds to sample (but you can add for example 2sec from here 2 sec from there etc), plus another challenge: the drums must come "from your mouth", you have to sample your noise/vocals etc.
so recapitulating the rules:
-max 8 sec of sample (but you can make 2 or whatever sec from here and there: the sum must be always 8 ) -drums from your voice
hehe cool yeah i figured that was allowed since 303/505 etc dont have built in mics. I've heard the SM57 is a great beatbox mic, me beat boxing is like Lawrence Welk breakdancing but we'll see how it goes.
man i really wanna get in on a battle again...but damn i can't beatbox for shit..could i cheat and use some old rhazell joint?lol..nah,i think i'll see what i can do,might surprise myself.and i dig the idea of the 8 second rule, never seen anything like that done on here before, dope idea Ella.

guys you're not forced to beatboxing, i'm glad if you'll do it, but you can also just "chop" your snare, kick and hihats and then rearrange the thing together. this is allowed, don't worry about that.
