Wanna do a live set in Montreal?

Post by Rabot »

Hey everyone.

I'm offering you folks an opportunity to bring your art in Montreal... if you're into DJSet/LiveSet.

The deal is that I'm pretty tied with SJU, witch is one of the main dubstep event booker/promoter, and as they're getting bigger, they're doing smaller party in underground/new venues and looking for new artist and this guy I know told me he added MUJO to his "to contact' list after I showed him some of his stuff.

MUJO if you read this I don't know if they contacted you yet, but they guy was pretty hyped on your stuff. I was talking to him about the fact that I might know some artist that might interest him and he told me that he would love to check what's up.

Oh and no i'm not talking about people in suit deeply involved in the music industry, they're pretty much music lover that organise shit in montreal every week.

Anyway, I simply don't know who of you are into live set/dj set, but if you're interested, hit me up in PM or email @ [email protected] or in this topic or anything.

I'll will send them either your soundcloud/mixtape/whatever.

BRING ON THE SP-POWA.

I haven't really done live DJ / producer sets, so I don't think I'd be up for performing. But a night of my SP brethren would bring me out to the show to watch and hang out for sure.

Hey Rabot -

Me and Turtle Handz have been doing live shows recently to promote our new album. We got a show in New York tonight and in Boston in a couple of weeks. We use live mic effects and dub out the instrumentals with sp's, guitar pedals, and no laptops in sight. We'd love to try to make it up to Montreal if we can get a little assistance coming up from the NY area.

Here's to more live sp, sti!

Way off topic... But I'm coming up to Montreal from Toronto in mid or late December for a few days... You guys know any dope parts of the city to stay at? Preferably near some digging spots or laid back bars...not really into being in the touristy area of cities you know.. Also if anyone here from Montreal is rocking any sets that time of the month it'd be dope to check out and support.

PEACE>

well the thing is these dudes are booking people all the time and they talked about booking more hiphop/beats artist.

i remember talking with that about that in october bit they haven't stopped booking people cause they got a buisness running.

since it's not my primary buisness and that I only hang out with those guy like once every two weeks or soo i know they kept booking their regular style (dubstep /electro mostly) and i'm pretty sure they must be booked until feb or march.)

anyway i'm going to see bonobo friday and i'll see that's the status with them.
