could you tell me please if this is a sort of "facebook music section" or soemthing? i've heard the facebook guys wanted to do something in that way...at first sight it seems something like myspace music, not that revolutionary indeed...

I haven't set it up yet but I was fiddling with it just today.
Really cool, you can embed your bandcamp page (art and music) on to your facebook. So peeps can check your music right on facebook.

Yeah, the way facebook seems to be slowly integrating the rest of the web into it (or at least trying) is kinda scary in a big brother way. Just think, no more anonymous porn trawling! Oh noes!*

This does look like a really cool extension of Bandcamp. They keep enhancing their site in better & better ways. This beats the shit out of Myspace seeing the bandcamp media player works consistently (loads fast etc) & you can't edit the site to play a million things at once (so no wasting the visitor's bandwidth). As its not a first generation site, all the biggest problems have been sorted out- a pretty common result in the process of design work.

*I honestly can't decide if I like the idea of a centralised internet, if that makes sense.

I install it and it took 15 seconds. Now when visitors see my page they can play the bandcamp songs. Which is nice because now more views will accumulate and new fans. Now all I gotta do is beef up my facebook page, I created the page as a safe way to meet girls because every time I give out my number, it seems half the town gets it.

You have to be logged in at both facebook and bandcamp at the same time to install it. Having two tabs help but not necessary. I did it with Google Chrome, if that helps.

@Ellaguru - Yeah bro, you can embed myspace and soundcloud to your facebook. Just go to those sites to find out how to link them up to facebook.

Personally, I hate facebook but as long as its my music persona and not the man behind the curtain up there, I don't see why not.
