LIVE SESSION ON THE 404

i cant take all the credit for this. i was actually checkin my lady sp memory cards on her 404 lookin for her set because she was running late, but some of her cards had mad samples she chopped up . so during soundcheck the homie ryan had this usb joint from roland that you can load samples on there, and play like some real drums. so he started playin drums patterns on the fly while i was playin samples and it turned into a lil ill session . we kinda started zoning out.when my lady got there she took over on the 404 while the homie was drumming .hopefully there's footage of the whole session especially when she got there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QStGt02Kirg

just forwarded this to my boy phd (also down with tone liv, think you know him). a year ago we were talking about "do they have an electronic drum kit where you can load your own samples into it?" well this is clearly the next best thing

just forwarded this to my boy phd (also down with tone liv, think you know him). a year ago we were talking about "do they have an electronic drum kit where you can load your own samples into it?" well this is clearly the next best thing

yeah phd is dope !!! yeah man that joint was dope because it had the pedal for the kick drum too. so its basically like a real drum set. i might need to get one of those and try and learn how to play drums.

That was pretty dope. Ive been wanting one of those drums sample pad gadgets since i saw one of the roots jamming with one. Improvisation shows how really talented someone is, imo...lays it all out on the table.

I think it would be cool if you rocked it with a live drummer some time.

You know, you can link up a rockband drum kit into your computer (USB) and get some proggie called joy2key and it works like that Roland piece. I'm sure it's not as good but you can find those rockband drum kits heller cheap now... Like 10 bone$. It's an afternoon project and you need a daw. It's funny to jam on... Mon

good lookin out adam. yeah i definitely want to do this more often , but u know how these shows be alot the shows i get booked is electronic. and if its not wobble bass and lazers efxs in the beats. lol they lookin weird at me. but i try to sneak some of this stuff in sets. you never know youll get with me. i can predict alot of ppl sets now a days. some of my sets is that way but im definitely workin on different approaches to keep it fun.

thanks fam. when my lady joined the session thats when it got stupid real talk. i think she's the o.g. sp gurl. i remember there was a fuzz on the forums about some chick adding reverb on her voice and ppl were mesmerized off that. haha

wow rockband can do that as well. can u add ur own samples? i need to add custom drums. if so that might be an option there. haha
