I still have not found a SDHC card that I can resample a whole beat into one pad without trying to work through samples skipping while rerecording. The only card that doesn't have this problem is the card that came with the sp404sx when I bought it. If anyone has a card that doesn't do this please tell me the speed, brand, and all information you can give. Otherwise, im just wondering if anyone has seen any effect from the update.

I figure we' have to buy Roland issued SD Cards??

I'm sort of let down by Roland 404sx.

Please Anyone , get any info you can on how to get a SD card that won't skip. I have the SanDisk 8 GB, Is anyone else using this?

Thanks,

I dunno man every card I've used has worked just fine. Even the one's I previously used in my cameras. I just use a SanDisk of whatever size and no problems at all.

I'm noticing that my recordings are cutting off one or two beats before the end...meaning, I record a full measure (and my timing is pretty solid), and when I play the sample, it's missing the last beat or so. Not sure if it's a card issue, either. I'm on OS 1.06 and using a HP 8gb cards...(Big Lots had 'em on sale, yo).

ima have to say the 404sx over the og 404 deffinitly. the copy pattern fuction is so incredibly handy. I have had those problems where the sample cuts off. and sum times when im sampling it with glitch or something when i play it back. but you just have to record again, kind of annoying, but the pattern sequencer is way better than on the 404.
